Cruisin’ The Coast 2012, Oct. 7 – 14, 2012

Cruisin’ The Coast 2012 is a Go!  Our “Sweet Sixteen” celebration will take place Oct. 7-14, 2012 as scheduled.  We are excited to be welcoming you back to our beautiful MS Gulf Coast. Our unwelcome visitor, Hurricane Isaac, has finally moved on and the Mississippi Gulf Coast is cleaning up and getting back to business as usual.  Hurricane Isaac slowed down our final preparations for Cruisin’ The Coast 2012 but has not dampened our cruisin’ spirit.  There may be some schedule changes which will be posted on our website before Oct. 7.

Below is an email Cruisin’ The Coast received from Beth Carriere, Executive Director, MS Gulf Coast Convention & Visitors Bureau with updates on conditions along the MS Gulf Coast.

MS Gulf Coast Update - Ready for Labor Day

MS Gulf Coast update, as of August 30 at 3:50 pm: - The Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport is open. Visitors are urged to confirm flights with their airline. - Most MS Gulf Coast hotels are open and not reporting damage. We are suggesting visitors call their hotels for updates, as needed. - Interstate 10 and Highway 49 are open. - Highway 90 is being cleared of sand, and crews will continue until all standing water and debris has been removed. - The MS Gaming Commission has given the go-ahead to Coast casinos to reopen. "Some casinos could be approved and ready as early as this evening," said Allen Godfrey, executive director of the MGC. "We have targeted to have all back in operation by tomorrow." - Coast Transit Authority is running some routes. - Edgewater Mall and Gulfport Premium Outlets are open for shoppers. 2012 EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION IS CLOSED as of August 15, 2012. On Site Registration will open on Monday, October 8, 2012 at 11 A.M. 

Registration is closed until On Site Registration opens on Monday, October 8, 2012  at 11:00 A.M.  For on-site registration no participant T-shirts will be available and the registration fee will be $75. If you need to register on-site come to Cruise Central in Gulfport ( Hwy. 90 between Courthouse Rd. and Hwy. 49) Monday-11:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.; Tuesday to Friday- 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.; Saturday- 9:00 A.M. to Noon when 2012 Registration will be closed.

2012 Schedule  Bands, events and casino entertainment are now listed under SCHEDULE. All events are subject to change so keep checking for revisions or additions.  Under the listing "Casino Entertainment" if you need tickets or additional information please contact the individual casino.

2013 Early Bird Registration opens Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012 at noon.   

2013 Cruisin' The Coast will be October 6-13, 2013.  Early Bird Registration will open at noon on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Cruise Central. 2013 Early Bird Registration will be Thursday from noon to 5:00 P.M., Friday and Saturday from 9:00  A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and Sunday from 8:00 A.M.until noon.
